Problem
“I am into paragliding, I have my Low/High B glider for my cross country (XC)/ thermaling flights. When I bring it for coast soaring I feel unsafe majority of the time. I am thinking about a miniwing or probably go straight to parakites. My take off weight is around 95 KG and I want to fly 25-35 kmp/h winds at the coast”. – Common situation, right?
Solution
Fujin is a glider designed for coast soaring. It brings you fun factor still playing safe.
Fast wing profile (coherent, crossbraced canopy) – what you need to penetrate strong coastal winds;
✅ Trimmers – adjust angle of attack of a glider on the ground or in flight. Very helpful for glider inflation. That is what gliders with speed bar are missing.
✅ Big ears system – holds big ears folded for you. Easy way to drop some altitude, or go for landing at the beach.
✅ Only sheeted lines – right option for dusty/grassy or sandy coast, also they less prone to snag roots;
✅ Aspect ratio 4,95 – similar to low B gliders, easy control and safety;

Big ears system activated
and pilot has control
on brake lines.
Coming for top landing.

Comparing Fujin to miniwings:
There are fun and safe smaller size Hike&Fly gliders that work very well in coast soaring.
⚠️ But:
🛑 They build of lightweight fabric, which is great for hike and fly, but at sandy take off it will not last long.
✅ – Fujin is heavier, but more durable – will last longer.
🛑 Unsheeted lines are not for the coast conditions.
✅ – Fujin has all lines sheeted.
🛑 Speedbar, don’t forget to connect it, and it useless on take off stage.
✅ – Fujin has trimmers.
Comparing Fujin to parakites:
🛑 Need additional training for parakite.
✅ – Fujin is a paraglider;
🛑 Parakite’s feedback is more different to your XC glider.
✅ – flying Fujin you will bring more skills into XC flights.
🛑 Parakites are not for gusty conditions and there are many gusty days at the coast.
✅ – flying Fujin you are safer in gusty air.
🛑 Parakite goes out of trim faster, dangerous to fly out-off trim parakite.
✅ – Fujin will take way longer to go out of trim;
🛑 Check if insurance works with parakites.
✅ – Fujin is a paraglider;
Mind the following about parakites:

“Adapting piloting techniques: Some paragliding reflexes will need to be deconstructed and relearned in parakite flying. “A break every 25 minutes while soaring keeps your mind clear and your movements precise.”
Parakite risers are subject to significant variations in stress. “They will shift very quickly.” Be sure to check your parakites every year or after 200 hours of use.”
“Adaptation du pilotage : Certains gestes reflexes de parapentistes devront être déconstruits et réappris en parakite. “Une pause toutes les 25min en soaring maintient la tête claire et le geste précis”.
Les élévateurs de parakite subissent des écarts de sollicitation très importants entre eux. « Ils vont bouger très vite ». Veillez à contrôler les parakites tous les ans ou 200h d’utilisation”
Conclusion
Coast soaring is a lot of fun.
In 2026 there is no need to go for compromise and bring extra risks on the table. Paraglider constructors solved specific task – paraglider for coast soaring.
Fujin gives control required to safely enjoy coast soaring.
