Short description of the equipment used in Paragliding

Paraglider parts
Top surface – the entire upper surface of the wing.
Bottom surface – the entire bottom surface of the wing;
Leading edge – contains cell opening, first point of contact with airflow;
Trailing edge – Runs across the entire rear of the canopy, brake lines connection points are there.
Wing tips – sides of a paraglider
Cell openings – Holes in leading edge that allow the air to enter the glider and build
the internal pressure.

Paraglider parts
Fujin has 4 sets of lines- A,B,C,D.
A lines – front lines attached to leading edge. Used during inflation;
B – C lines – sets of lines connected to the middle of the bottom surface of the glider;
D lines – set of lines connected closer to the trailing edge. part of the riser they connected to is reffered as rear riser;
Rear risers – can be used for steering;
Brake lines – attached to a trailing edge, connected to toggles/ brake handles. Brake line goes through a leash on a rear riser;
Trimmers – consist of mechanism and strap. Pulling/releasing a strap changes length of part of the risers.
Carabiner – aluminium or steel, connects harness to a riser.
